Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Note: The list below mainly includes new injuries. However, players like Chris Godwin and Isaiah Likely, who aren’t officially on injured reserve (IR), the Non-Football Injury/Illness list (NFI) or the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, will remain on this report.

George Kittle (TE – SF)

George Kittle suffered a hamstring injury in the second quarter of the 49ers’ win and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. This could be a multi-week injury.

George Kittle (hamstring) to undergo MRI Monday
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said George Kittle will undergo an MRI “in the next 24 hours.”

Fantasy Impact

After opening the scoring with a touchdown reception, Kittle departed in the second quarter and did not return. There should be an update on Monday, but hamstring injuries typically aren’t ideal.

Brock Bowers (TE – LV)

Brock Bowers suffered a knee injury in the Las Vegas Raiders’ win over the New England Patriots and was held out of the remainder of the game. However, Bowers has said he’s not concerned with a knee injury moving forward.

Brock Bowers not concerned with knee injury
Raiders TE Brock Bowers stated that he had no concerns moving forward with a knee injury that knocked him out of the Raiders’ win over the Patriots.

Fantasy Impact

Bowers stated that he is fine and just came out of the game to get his knee checked out, with reports stating that the team’s training staff opted to hold him out of the game. Prior to leaving the game, Bowers caught 5-of-8 targets for 103 yards. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his status ahead of a Week 2 matchup with the Chargers.
