Monday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Logan Webb (SP – SF) vs. ARI
Logan Webb thrives in his pitcher-friendly home ballpark. According to FanGraphs, in 196.1 innings at home since last year, Webb has a 2.84 ERA, 2.84 xFIP, 1.10 WHIP, 4.2 BB% and 22.9 K%. Webb is also in pristine form. In his previous five starts spanning 31.1 innings, Webb has posted the following statistics.
- 2.87 ERA
- 2.99 xFIP
- 2.97 SIERA
- 1.12 WHIP
- Three wins
- Three quality starts
- 4.0 BB%
- 23.4 K%
- 10.9 SwStr%
- 29.8 CSW%
- 101 stuff+
- 103 location+
- 103 pitching+
Unfortunately, Webb doesn’t have an ideal matchup.
The Diamondbacks are tied for fifth in wRC+ (111) with a 22.1 K% versus righties and tied for eighth in wRC+ (103) with a 22.4 K% on the road in 2025. Arizona is also tied for 11th in wRC+ (108) with a 23.6 K% in the previous 30 days. Despite Webb’s ho-hum matchup, the Giants are listed as -180 favorites, and the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.
Tyler Glasnow (SP – LAD) vs. COL
Saving salary to use Tyler Glasnow in cash games in a mouthwatering matchup is reasonable, and he’s also a high-ceiling GPP pick. However, I chose to rank him behind Webb because of the uncertain nature of back injuries. Nevertheless, the Rockies are 30th in wRC+ (79) with a 25.8 K% versus righties and 30th in wRC+ (67) with a 27.4 K% on the road this year. Colorado is also tied for 27th in wRC+ (85) with a 22.3 K% in the previous 30 days.
Glasnow is having a rock-solid, albeit injury-abbreviated, 2025 campaign. He’s tallied the following stats in 14 starts spanning 68.2 innings in 2025.
- 3.41 ERA
- 3.27 xERA
- 3.70 SIERA
- 1.11 WHIP
- One win
- Five quality starts
- 11.5 BB%
- 29.0 K%
- 11.1 SwStr%
- 29.1 CSW%
Glasnow isn’t a bulletproof pick, but the Rockies should coax a ceiling performance out of him tonight.
Nick Lodolo (SP – CIN) at SD
Nick Lodolo gets a reprieve tonight from pitching in his launching-pad home ballpark. The lefty has enjoyed toeing the slab in road venues. In 135.2 innings on the road since last year, Lodolo has spun a 2.99 ERA, 3.43 WHIP, 0.86 WHIP, 5.4 BB% and 27.3 K%. Lodolo’s matchup tonight is adequate but not perfect.
The Padres are tied for 18th in wRC+ (93) with an 18.8 K% versus lefties and tied for ninth in wRC+ (107) with a 17.5 K% at home this season. San Diego was also tied for ninth in wRC+ (109) with a 19.5 K% in the previous 30 days.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
- Home (T-Mobile Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 7.5 Runs/SEA -220
The Mariners have a plus matchup against Miles Mikolas tonight, no matter how you slice it. Mikolas has an ugly 5.48 ERA and 4.27 xFIP in 151 innings on the road since last year. The 37-year-old righty also has a 4.89 ERA, 5.46 xERA, 4.91 xFIP, 4.89 SIERA and 1.33 WHIP in 27 starts this season. The veteran righty has allowed a .326 wOBA to 265 right-handed batters and a .354 wOBA to 321 left-handed batters this year, making all of Seattle’s hitters stackable, regardless of their handedness.
- Home (Globe Life Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 8.5 Runs/TEX -112
Can Jose Quintana ride his good luck to the end of the regular season? I don’t believe so. The veteran lefty’s 3.72 ERA in 22 starts this year starkly contrasts his 5.21 xERA, 4.90 xFIP and 5.01 SIERA. When all of a pitcher’s ERA estimators are as significantly higher than their ERA, as Quintana’s are, it’s often wise to stack against the pitcher in anticipation of their good fortune running out.
