Fantasy Football Risers
Oronde Gadsden II (TE – LAC)
Fifth-round rookie (No. 165 overall) Oronde Gadsden II picked up right where he left off in Week 7, putting together another huge performance Thursday night. He caught all five of his targets for 77 yards and a touchdown, finishing as a top four tight end and, finding the endzone in back-to-back games. Gadsden had been splitting work early on, but he’s seen a significant uptick in usage over his last three games, taking over as the clear TE1 for LA, averaging 6.3 receptions on 7.3 targets for 103 yards and 0.7 touchdowns since Week 6.
TreVeyon Henderson (RB – NE)
TreVeyon Henderson’s usage has been discouraging all season, but it was even worse in the first two games without Antonio Gibson. In Weeks 6-7, Henderson played on less than 20% (19.4%) of the Patriots’ offensive snaps, handling only 12 touches during that stretch. Although Henderson was limited to a 20.3% snap share this past weekend, he saw double-digit carries for only the second time this season, rushing for a career-high 75 yards, while averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Henderson did lose a fumble, however, ball security hasn’t played much of a factor in the backfield rotation up to this point. Rhamondre Stevenson is still the starter, but Henderson may have shown enough to work his way into a more even split.
Woody Marks (RB – HOU)
Woody Marks received the post-bye rookie bump in Week 7, outsnapping Nick Chubb 48 to 19 in Week 8, handling 13 touches on 15 opportunities and finding the endzone on a four-yard receiving touchdown. Although Chubb had a slight lead in snaps the following week, Marks was far more productive with his opportunities, handling 15 touches for 111 yards from scrimmage. Even in a split backfield, the arrow is pointing up for Marks, who is continuing to play a larger role in the offense.
RJ Harvey (RB – DEN)
RJ Harvey has been the clear RB2 behind JK Dobbins all season and although he was limited to a 26.3% snap share in Week 8, the second-round rookie (No. 60 overall) made the most of his opportunity, handling eight touches for over 50 yards (51) from scrimmage, scoring twice on the ground and once through the air. Dobbins still had a significant lead in snaps and touches, however, it’s hard to overlook Harvey’s production, which could ultimately lead to more opportunities in the future.
Fantasy Football Fallers
Spencer Rattler (QB – NO)
Spencer Rattler couldn’t have had a worse start in Week 8, losing a fumble on the opening drive and throwing an interception before making it out of the half. He was pulled in the third quarter after zero scoring drives, getting benched in favor of second-round rookie (No. 40 overall) Tyler Shough. Shough didn’t look much better, completing 17 passes on 30 dropbacks (56.7% completion rate) for 128 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per attempt, throwing one interception and no touchdowns. However, Shough has already been named the starter for Week 9, likely making Rattler a non-factor for the rest of the season, barring an injury or another benching.
Cam Skattebo (RB – NYG)
Cam Skattebo had been emerging as one of the top backs in the 2025 class, finishing as an RB1 in back-to-back games entering Week 8, averaging 20 touches on 21.5 opportunities for over 100 yards (102) from scrimmage and two touchdowns over his last two games. He found the endzone early against the Eagles, catching an 18-yard score on the second drive, seemingly in line for another productive outing. Unfortunately, Skattebo was carted off with an injury in the second quarter, ruled out for the rest of the game, and immediately rushed to the hospital. He was diagnosed with a dislocated ankle, fractured fibula, and ruptured deltoid, putting an end to a promising rookie season.
Isiah Pacheco (RB – KC)
Isiah Pacheco maintained his lead over the backfield in Week 8, handling 12 carries for a season-high 58 yards before exiting with a knee injury late in the fourth quarter. Although Pacheco avoided serious damage, diagnosed with a sprained MCL, he will miss this upcoming week ahead of the bye. Based on what we’ve seen the last two seasons, one game could be enough for Kareem Hunt to regain control over the backfield, while also opening up the door for seventh-round rookie (No. 228 overall) Brashard Smith to carve out a long-term role even when Pacheco is back.
Hollywood Brown (WR – KC)
Hollywood Brown has been a complete afterthought in the Chiefs’ offense with Rashee Rice back in the lineup, catching two balls for 14 yards in his last two games combined. He saved his day with a touchdown in Week 7, but was completely shut out Monday night against the Commanders, failing to haul in his lone target, playing on only 38.6% of the team’s offensive snaps, and running a route on just 51.4% of Patrick Mahomes‘s dropbacks.
