Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Rome Odunze, Brian Thomas Jr., George Pickens

The fantasy football season moves fast. One week you’re riding high on a breakout performance, the next you’re wondering if you should trade that same player for a bag of footballs. That’s where we come in. As we hit Week 8, our Featured Pros have combed through the chaos to highlight players you should buy low before they explode — and those you should sell high while their value is peaking. It’s the perfect time to outsmart your league mates and turn midseason panic into playoff positioning.

Players to Buy Low & Sell High in Week 8

Buy Low

Rome Odunze (WR – CHI)

“The flames have cooled, but don’t get it twisted: Rome Odunze is still cooking. Go out and be aggressive to acquire him because he’s still the receiver to own in Chicago. He’s leading the Bears by a wide margin in targets per game (7.3), receiving yards per game (nearly 60) and first-read share (27.4%). He has the potential to create some fireworks in the next month with games against the Ravens, Bengals, Giants and Vikings. If I’m deep at running back, I’d move Cam Skattebo or even flip Garrett Wilson or DK Metcalf to get him. Rome may not have been built in a day, but in your league, it can sure be bought in one.”
Kyle Zeigler (Fantasy In Frames)

“You absolutely need to get Rome Odunze right now. His last two down weeks have created the perfect panic buy opportunity for a player who was producing like a WR1 earlier in the year. Forget the recent box scores and bet on his early-season role in this Bears offense. Plus, with a soft schedule on the horizon, it’s a good time to get yourself a reliable receiver for the business end of the year at a discount price.”
Luke Renton (The Franchise Tag UK)

Brian Thomas Jr. (WR – JAC)

“I’m looking over at Brian Thomas Jr in Jacksonville. Drafted as an elite WR1, his drops and lack of consistency have left fantasy owners reeling (T-WR32 in half-PPR leagues). But perhaps there’s hope ahead with more reps and targets for Travis Hunter. The schedule is certainly rife with opportunity. I’d look to swing a deal with for a running back akin to Kenneth Walker III (still has a sizable workload is the sell).”

Sell High

George Pickens (WR – DAL)

“I love George Pickens (WR4), but I question his week-to-week ceiling with the return of CeeDee Lamb. There are not enough footballs with Jake Ferguson (TE1) running amok, and the continued workload for Javonte Williams. There will be big days, but I fear it will be a roller coaster ride. I’d be trolling for running back help, maybe pushing for some shares in James Cook (one helluva sell job to do there) or rolling the dice that Saquon Barkley and the Eagles find better days.”
