Fantasy Football Boom Starts & Bust Sits (Week 10)

We have learned a lot in the first nine weeks of the season, so we can use that to inform our lineup decisions. The best way to do so is to focus on the matchup, consider the game script and compare your thoughts with FantasyPros’ expert consensus rankings (ECR).

You’ll find three fantasy football booms to start and three busts to bench for Week 10. By this point in the season, we have a good sense of player projections. With that in mind, let’s make those lineup decisions easier for you in Week 10.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Start/Sit Advice

Fantasy Football Boom Starts

Jameson Williams (WR – DET) at WSH

Jameson Williams has been one of the most disappointing players in fantasy football this season. However, the Lions came out of the bye getting more looks for their dynamic No. 2 wideout. Williams finished with four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings in Week 9.

Up next is a matchup against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Commanders. Washington ranks 29th in receiving yards allowed to wideouts this season, so it’s a great opportunity for Williams to get loose downfield.

Parker Washington (WR – JAX) at HOU

Parker Washington is coming off a rock-solid performance against the Raiders in Week 9, where he hauled in eight out of nine targets for 90 yards. Washington has now racked up 19 targets in his last two games.

With Brian Thomas Jr. banged up (ankle) and Jakobi Meyers still getting used to Liam Coen’s system after being acquired at the trade deadline, Washington is likely to be the top target for the Jaguars this week.

Oronde Gadsden II (TE – LAC) vs. PIT

Oronde Gadsden has now racked up 65+ receiving yards in four consecutive games, establishing himself as one of the most impressive young tight ends in the NFL.

Up next is a smash spot against the Steelers, who rank 30th in receiving yards allowed to tight ends this season. We’ve seen them get torched by Tucker Kraft earlier this year. Don’t be surprised if Gadsden has another spike week in this spot.

Fantasy Football Bust Sits

Jordan Addison (WR – MIN) vs. BAL

Jordan Addison is one of the most underrated wideouts in the NFL, but J.J. McCarthy hasn’t run a prolific passing offense while under center. It’s been quite the opposite, in fact, as McCarthy has failed to throw for even 160 passing yards this season.

The matchup against the Ravens seems favorable, but Baltimore has shown improvements on defense in the last two weeks, keeping the Dolphins and Bears in check.

Jakobi Meyers (WR – JAX) at HOU

Jakobi Meyers has been traded to the Jaguars. While I love the move over the course of the season, we have to give him some time to adapt to Liam Coen’s system.

We don’t know what Meyers’ snap rate will look like in his Jaguars debut, plus it’s not like this is a good matchup, as the Texans rank sixth in receiving yards allowed to wideouts.

Tyler Warren (TE – IND) vs. ATL

Tyler Warren has had a terrific rookie season, but he’s coming off his worst game of the year (26 yards). Up next is the toughest matchup you’ll see for a tight end.

That’s because the Falcons rank first in fantasy points per game allowed to tight ends. We’re likely to see the Colts focus on establishing the run following a game where the Steelers shut them down. Low rushing volume and a tough matchup mean a likely down week for Warren.
