NFL DFS Cash Game Lineup Advice & Picks (Week 12)

Week 12 is here, so it’s time to build some NFL DFS cash game lineups.

Remember, when playing cash games, you want to target players with a nice combination of floor and ceiling. If there is a “free square” on the board, that is: A significantly underpriced player thrust into a huge bump in usage, then you can play them without thinking about how popular they’ll be among the field.

With that in mind, read on to learn more about my favorite DFS cash game picks for Week 12. We’ll provide pricing from both FanDuel and DraftKings for these picks. I’ll keep it tight, with two picks for each position.

Week 12 NFL DFS Cash Game Advice & Picks

The players below are the ones I’m looking at for NFL DFS cash game considerations this week.

Quarterbacks

Drake Maye (QB – NE) at CIN | DraftKings: $6,000/FanDuel: $8,400

Drake Maye is currently averaging 20.6 fantasy points per game, which ranks as the QB3. We’ve seen three spike weeks of 25+ fantasy points from Maye this season. This week looks like a good spot for that to happen again. The Patriots have a 28.75 implied team total against the Bengals, which is the third-highest on the slate.

Tyler Shough (QB – NO) vs. ATL | DraftKings: $4,400/FanDuel: $6,600

Tyler Shough provides salary relief in a great matchup against the Falcons, who just got picked apart by Bryce Young for 400+ yards. Shough quietly had a productive fantasy game in his last start, putting up 19 points. I like pairing Shough with Chris Olave this week, especially since the rookie quarterback will be low-rostered.

Running Backs

Chase Brown (RB – CIN) vs. NE | DraftKings: $6,200/FanDuel: $6,900

Chase Brown goes up against an elite Patriots run defense, but one thing that they do is allow production through the air. New England is allowing the most receptions to running backs this season. With Ja’Marr Chase suspended and Joe Burrow potentially returning, we could see Brown peppered with checkdown targets in this spot. He makes for a nice runback to any Patriots stack.

David Montgomery (RB – DET) vs. NYG | DraftKings: $5,300/FanDuel: $6,700

I like going with David Montgomery for some salary relief when everyone else targets Jahmyr Gibbs. Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke about giving Montgomery more carries this week. This sets up as an ideal game script for that, as the Lions are 10-point favorites against the Giants, who rank 32nd in rush expected points added (EPA).

Wide Receivers

Stefon Diggs (WR – NE) at CIN | DraftKings: $6,500/FanDuel: $6,700

Stefon Diggs is the ideal pairing with Maye in a projected shootout against the Bengals. The veteran wideout is coming off a strong outing against the Jets, where he caught nine of his 11 targets for 105 yards. Before that game, Diggs had found the end zone in three straight. Don’t be surprised for the former Bill to hit pay dirt once again in this spot.

Chris Olave (WR – NO) vs. ATL | DraftKings: $6,400/FanDuel: $7,300

Chris Olave continues to get peppered with targets this season, fresh off 104 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers in his last game. With the Falcons getting tormented by Tetairoa McMillan last week, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Olave do something similar. One of the most underrated wideouts in football, Olave makes for the perfect pairing with Tyler Shough.

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce (TE – KC) vs. IND | DraftKings: $5,000/FanDuel: $6,000

Travis Kelce has quietly had a bounce-back season, putting up 6.8 yards after the catch per reception, which is his highest since 2016. Since Week 5, Kelce is averaging 13.7 half-PPR points per game. That ranks as the TE4 during that stretch. Up next is a matchup versus the Colts, who rank 30th in receiving yards allowed to tight ends.

Hunter Henry (TE – NE) at CIN | DraftKings: $3,900/FanDuel: $5,300

Hunter Henry has put up 40+ yards in two of his last three games. We’ve seen a high ceiling from him this year, including eight catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns against the Steelers. Henry is a perfect addition to a Drake Maye-Stefon Diggs stack. The Bengals rank 32nd in receiving yards allowed to tight ends.
