Quarterback
Justin Herbert (QB – LAC)
While Justin Herbert left and returned to action against the Raiders, completing 15-of-20 passes, he suffered a hand fracture and will have surgery.
It’s unclear if Herbert will miss time, though. If he did, Trey Lance would enter the lineup, lowering the potential for all pass catchers. The Chargers host the Philadelphia Eagles next week, a formidable opponent for Lance.
Running Back
Dylan Sampson (RB – CLE)
Dylan Sampson left the Browns’ loss to the 49ers early with a calf injury. He hasn’t had much of a role this season, rushing 38 times for 89 yards (2.3 yards per carry) and zero touchdowns. He does, however, have two receiving touchdowns.
Still, this means more work for Quinshon Judkins.
Aaron Jones (RB – MIN)
Aaron Jones has had issues staying healthy all year, and in Week 13’s shutout loss to the Seattle Seahawks, he suffered a shoulder injury and needs further evaluation. He’s averaging nearly five yards per carry, but has just one rushing and one receiving touchdown.
The entire Vikings offense is stagnant right now, with J.J. McCarthy playing poorly and undrafted rookie Max Brosmer throwing four interceptions against the Seahawks.
Kyren Williams (RB – LAR)
Kyren Williams left with an ankle injury in the Rams’ loss to the Carolina Panthers, but returned. Still, this is something worth monitoring this week.
Woody Marks (RB – HOU)
Like Kyren Williams, Woody Marks left the Texans’ win against the Indianapolis Colts but returned. He injured his foot, but came back in the second quarter. Again, like Williams, this is worth watching this week as practice reports come in.
Wide Receiver
Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR – ARI)
In his first game back since having an appendectomy in Week 11, Marvin Harrison Jr. left the Cardinals’ loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early with a heel injury.
Harrison had six catches for 69 yards before leaving. It’s unclear if he’ll miss time, though. This is another player to watch with this week’s practice reports.
Parker Washington (WR – JAX)
Parker Washington suffered a hip injury during the team’s win over the Tennessee Titans and didn’t return. He had one catch for 26 yards.
The Jaguars have numerous pass-catching options right now with Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr. and Brenton Strange all catching more passes than Washington.
Dont’e Thornton (WR – LV)
Dont’e Thornton left the Raiders’ loss to the Los Angeles Chargers early with a concussion. He had just one catch for 11 yards. He and fellow rookie Jack Bech have been involved in only a few plays this season, and the Raiders’ offense has been one of the worst in the NFL.
Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DET)
On Thanksgiving, Amon-Ra St. Brown suffered a low-ankle sprain in a loss to the Green Bay Packers. He’s considered week-to-week, but the team will have had 10 days between Thanksgiving and Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams.
This is another injury to monitor throughout the week. If St. Brown can’t go, expect Jameson Williams to continue getting plenty of looks. When St. Brown wasn’t on the field, Williams had a 36% target share.
