Fantasy Baseball Closer Rankings (2026)

Welcome back to the first of many “Closer Report” articles for the fantasy baseball season. I will be putting out this story weekly throughout the season, keeping you up to date on different closer battles across the league.

Closers and bullpens in general are one of the most volatile positions in the sport, with certain teams figuring out their closer situations early in the season, which is why many of the teams currently have committees at closer. We will start to see some of these situations shake out in different ways in the coming weeks as different relievers emerge ahead of others.

Closer News & Notes

  • Jeff Hoffman blew his first save of the season on Friday with Shea Langeliers taking him deep in a 2-1 game. He still managed to earn the win thanks to a walk-off single by Andres Gimenez.
  • Jordan Romano appears to have emerged as the Angels’ closer with Kirby Yates on the injured list (IL). This will remain a situation to monitor. He has one save on the season and was warming up in the bullpen on Friday before a Zach Neto home run made it a non-save situation.
