NFL Draft Burning Questions (2026 Fantasy Football)

Here are three questions I’m seeking answers to in the lead-up to the 2026 NFL Draft that will have fantasy football implications.

2026 NFL Draft Burning Questions

What Do the Dolphins Do With Their First-Round Picks?

In addition to the No. 11 pick they earned for going 7-10, the Dolphins now also have the No. 30 overall pick (and more) after trading away wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins now have well over $182 million in dead money, so this is a complete teardown to the studs.

Under head coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, this duo is looking a few seasons out to begin reasonably competing again, and they’ll look to get a head start on that with two first-round picks.

But what will they do? Where will they start?

Starting with pick No. 11 overall, this could be a prime spot to find a replacement for Waddle, but with Hafley’s background as a defensive backs coach and the crop of cornerbacks at the top of this draft, it may be difficult to pass on Mansoor Delane or Jermod McCoy, assuming McCoy performs well at his Pro Day and/or private workouts.

Then, at pick No. 30, a receiver like Denzel Boston could very well be available, giving the Dolphins a No. 1 WR built to at least give incoming quarterback Malik Willis somebody to throw to. The current depth chart includes Jalen Tolbert, Malik Washington and Tutu Atwell.

The Dolphins also have a need at guard, but someone like Emmanuel Pregnon or Chase Bisontis could be available at pick No. 43.

I’d consider a combination of Delane and Boston.

Can the Chiefs Use Their Two First-Round Picks to Rebound in 2026?

The Chiefs had what many would call an anomaly of a season last year and now have a top-10 pick. They also traded away cornerback Trent McDuffie for the latter of the Rams’ first-round picks — No. 29 overall. However, this team has some key holes to fill, including along the offensive line and at cornerback. I’d also put receiver and EDGE rush in there, too.

At pick No. 9 overall, the Chiefs will have plenty of talent to choose from. If he’s there, it would be hard to pass on Rueben Bain Jr. After signing running back Kenneth Walker III, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see the Chiefs invest in the offense to try to push for a championship in what could be Travis Kelce‘s final season.

That spot could allow them to take any of the top wide receivers, including Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon and Jordyn Tyson. However, there could be some offensive line options available, like Olaivavega Ioane, Spencer Fano or even Monroe Freeling. I’d ultimately go with Bain if he’s available.

Then, at pick No. 29, it gets a bit more unpredictable as to who will be available, but why not get McDuffie’s replacement with someone like Avieon Terrell or Colton Hood?

Based on how the board falls, I’d actually lean more into defense than offense and take Bain and Terrell/Hood. That said, these picks could go in any direction.

With the Maxx Crosby Deal Axed, What Do the Ravens Do at 14?

With the deal for Maxx Crosby falling through, the Ravens now have the No. 14 overall pick and have holes to fill along the interior offensive line and also at wide receiver.

Jesse Minter is the Ravens’ new head coach, so defense is an option, but I’d absolutely use this pick on either Olaivavega Ioane or a receiver like Makai Lemon or Jordyn Tyson. Tight end Kenyon Sadiq is also an option,

Baltimore needs a player who can impact the lineup this season and help quarterback Lamar Jackson. Wide receiver or interior offensive line does just that.
