Starting pitchers who make two starts in a week are valuable in fantasy baseball. Of course, it has nothing to do with the pitcher themself, but everything to do with how the schedule falls and how many games the team plays in a week. If you find yourself late to the waiver wire for all of the two-start pitchers, this article is for you.
Each week during the season, I’ll take a look at the pitchers projected to make multiple starts for the next week in the future. You can find the two-start pitchers for week one here. I say “projected” because rotations change due to injury, game script, and six-man rotations regularly, but this is as it stands for now.

Two-Start Pitcher Lookahead: Week 2 (Fantasy Baseball 2026)
Two-Start Rostered Pitchers
Here are the pitchers with two starts in week two who are pretty universally rostered (>80%).
Tarik Skubal (DET) – 100% | @ MIN; v MIA
Chris Sale (ATL) – 100% | @ LAA; v CLE
Logan Gilbert (SEA) – 99% | @ TEX; v HOU
Hunter Brown (HOU) – 99% | @ COL; @ SEA
Jacob deGrom (TEX) – 99% | v SEA; @ LAD
deGrom had his first start of the season pushed back due to a sore neck. He’s always a question mark to disrupt a rotation and isn’t a guarantee to make both starts.
Cole Ragans (KC) – 99% | @ CLE; v CWS
Joe Ryan (MIN) – 99% | v DET; @ TOR
Freddy Peralta (NYM) – 99% | v ARI; v ATH
Shohei Ohtani (LAD) – 98% | @ TOR; v TEX
Ohtani is almost guaranteed not to make two starts in a week, despite how the schedule lines up. The Dodgers have plenty of options out of the bullpen, and his bat is their priority.
Nick Pivetta (SD) – 97% | @ PIT; v COL
Cam Schlittler (NYY) – 95% | v ATH; @ TB
Brandon Woodruff (MIL) – 94% | @ BOS; v WSH
Woodruff has been slow-played this spring and, as of writing, hasn’t pitched in a game yet. It’s not guaranteed he’ll make two starts even if it lines up that way.
Sandy Alcantara (MIA) – 93% | v CIN; @ DET
Nick Lodolo (CIN) – 92% | @ MIA; v LAA
Lodolo is expected to pitch in a rehab outing this week. He’s eligible to return from the injured list (IL) on April 6.
Ryan Pepiot (TB)– 90% | v CHC; v NYY
Pepiot is first eligible to return from the IL on April 6 from a hip injury.
Bubba Chandler (PIT) – 90% | v SDP; @ CHC
Tanner Bibee (CLE) – 88% | v KC; @ ATL
Andrew Abbott (CIN) – 87% | @ MIA; v LAA
Zac Gallen (ARI) – 80% | @ NYM; @ PHI
Two-Start Streamer Options
Andrew Painter (PHI) – 32% | @ SFG; v ARI
Noah Cameron (KC)– 31% | @ CLE; v CWS
Brayan Bello (BOS) – 30% | v MIL; @ STL
Casey Mize (DET) – 27% | @ MIN; v MIA
Shane Smith (CWS) – 23% | v BAL; @ KC
Max Scherzer (TOR) – 18% | v LAD; v MIN
Grayson Rodriguez (LAA) – 15% | v ATL; @ CIN
Rodriguez is eligible to come off the IL early in week two, which would line him up for two unfavorable starts. He still has a few hurdles to clear before returning to action, so it’s unlikely he stays lined up for two starts.
Jameson Taillon (CHC) – 14% | @ TB; v PIT
Zach Eflin (BAL) – 14% | @ CWS; v SF
Eflin left his start on Monday after 3.2 innings with elbow discomfort. That’s never a good thing to hear. He did have seven strikeouts, but we’ll need to see how serious the injury is.
Taj Bradley (MIN) – 5% | v DET; @ TOR
Zack Littell (WSH) – 5% | v STL; @ MIL
Kyle Freeland (COL) – 3% | v HOU; @ SD
Adrian Houser (SF) – 2% | v PHI; @ BAL
Aaron Civale (ATH) – 2% | @ NYY; @ NYM
Civale has two of the toughest matchups of the week. I wouldn’t consider streaming him under any circumstances.
Janson Junk (MIA) – 1% | v CIN; @ DET
German Marquez (SD) – 1% | @ PIT; v COL
Ryan Feltner (COL) – 0% | v HOU; @ SD
Erick Fedde (CWS) – 0% | v BAL; @ KC
Andre Pallante (STL) – 0% | @ WSH; v BOS
