Closer News & Notes
- We now have a three-way tie at the top in saves between Mason Miller, Cade Smith and Riley O’Brien.
- Carlos Estevez had a setback on his rehab assignment and will be shut down for the next three weeks. Lucas Erceg remains the clear closer in the Royals’ bullpen.
- We have seen several closers return from the injured list (IL) in the past week, including Raisel Iglesias, Jhoan Duran and Daniel Palencia.
- Tanner Scott has taken hold of the Dodgers’ closer role with Edwin Diaz still on the IL and expected to miss extended time.
