Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Waiver Wire Targets (Week 10)

Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Waiver Wire Targets (Week 10)

Another week has come and gone, and it is time to look ahead to the upcoming slate of Major League Baseball action and dive into the fantasy baseball streaming pitchers. I’m here every week to give you suggestions on which pitchers you should stream to win your matchups.

I will be using FantasyPros’ streaming pitchers rankings to help determine my picks. Sync your league to find your own high-potential starters on the waiver wire.

Fantasy Baseball In-Season Waiver Wire & Trade Advice

Keep in mind that starters can get off schedule, and some projected starters may be pushed back due to injuries or weather.

First, let’s take a look at last week’s picks:

Total: 11.2 Innings, 6 Strikeouts, 10 Earned Runs, 12 Hits, 10 Walks (1-2)

Unfortunately, last week’s streamers did not live up to the high standard we set with the prior picks. Merrill Kelly had a great start, while Joey Cantillo and Lucas Giolito struggled.

To be fair, there were some injuries and scheduling issues. Let’s aim for more reliability and a bounce-back this week.

Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Week 10

Monday, June 1

Michael McGreevy (SP – STL) vs. TEX | 28% Rostered

Monday does not feature many pitchers within streaming range, which leaves us with Michael McGreevy. The 25-year-old is a decent option against the Rangers, who have the ninth-worst team OPS in baseball (.690). However, expected stats indicate that McGreevy has been one of the luckiest pitchers in baseball.

The righty regularly outperforms his expected stats. His current ERA of 2.98 is far from his xERA of 5.63. McGreevy has been getting hit hard (41.4% hard hit rate), but he has shown great command (6.3% walk rate). He relies on seven pitches, primarily a low-90s fastball, a high-strikeout change-up and a hard-to-hit sinker.

While McGreevy is due for some regression, he is a serviceable candidate against the Rangers. I like other options later in the week, but McGreevy is definitely worth consideration.

Alternative: David Sandlin (SP – CWS) @MIN | 3% Rostered

Tuesday, June 2

Trevor McDonald (SP – SFG) @MIL | 7% Rostered

Trevor McDonald has jumped into the Majors seemingly out of nowhere. The 25-year-old was never a minor league star (career 3.88 ERA), but has found great success so far for the Giants.

Three of McDonald’s five starts this season have been quality starts, and he has only allowed more than three runs once when the White Sox tagged him for seven. His season debut against the Padres featured seven innings of one-run baseball, with eight strikeouts.

McDonald mixes a sinker, slider and change-up to challenge MLB bats. In a small sample size, his slider has a 35.8% whiff rate, and his change-up has a 45.8% whiff rate. McDonald has had great success with his three-pitch arsenal so far.

The Brewers are just about average among MLB teams with a .694 team OPS. They are currently 34-20 and are a very hot team, but McDonald has shown he can take on good teams. I like the righty against the Brewers.

Alternative: Shane Baz (SP – BAL) @BOS | 23% Rostered

Wednesday, June 3

Troy Melton (SP – DET) @TBR | 7% Rostered

Troy Melton is a very exciting prospect to stream and potentially keep. He just held the White Sox to one run across seven innings, building on his season debut, where he held the Orioles to three runs across 5.2 innings.

Melton’s fastball runs in the mid-upper-90s, and he also utilizes a cutter, slider, splitter and sinker. He threw a curveball in his rookie season last year, but has not brought it back.

Melton’s downside? He has only struck out four batters across 12.2 innings this season. The 25-year-old has a career 10.6 K/9 ratio in the minors, so expect more strikeouts to come as he adjusts to the highest level. Melton additionally had a 7.1 K/9 ratio across 45.2 innings in the Majors last year.

Strikeouts or not, Melton is introducing himself as a good pitcher for ratios. Although the Rays are a formidable opponent, I believe Melton has what it takes.

Alternative: Coleman Crow (SP – MIL) vs. SFG | 3% Rostered

Thursday, June 4

Jared Jones (SP – PIT) @HOU | 22% Rostered

Jared Jones has finally returned. He had an internal brace UCL procedure that sidelined him from mid-2025 to now, culminating in his 2026 debut against the Twins. As many debuts go, Jones was rusty. He allowed five runs across 4.1 innings on 77 pitches. The encouraging part was his six strikeouts and several fastballs in the triple digits.

Jones is now 24-years-old and looking to build on his 2024 rookie season, where he displayed excellent strikeout potential. Jones has some of the most enticing stuff in the league, and he is a worthy streamer and stash candidate until he proves otherwise. I like Jones’ strikeout potential against the Astros, but I understand if you are hesitant to start a still-rusty pitcher.

Alternative: Grant Holmes (SP – ATL) vs. TOR | 16% Rostered

Friday, June 5

Roki Sasaki (SP – LAD) vs. LAA | 23% Rostered

Roki Sasaki has finally started to control his pitches. He walked 13 batters across 22.2 innings in March and April, and has only walked five batters across 23 innings in May. Improved control has contributed to Sasaki’s success (3.52 ERA and 21 strikeouts in May).

The Angels currently lead baseball with 556 strikeouts. Sasaki offers great strikeout potential, especially on his high-90s fastball and slider. Sasaki last faced the Angels on May 17th and held them scoreless across seven innings, striking out eight. This matchup offers all you could want.

Alternative: Ben Brown (SP – CHC) vs. SFG | 21% Rostered

Saturday, June 6

Zebby Matthews (SP – MIN) vs. KCR | 20% Rostered

Zebby Matthews will continue to be recommended as long as he remains available in so many leagues. He is finally finding some success in the Majors after struggling in 2024 and 2025. Matthews has had three quality starts in all three of his opportunities this season.

The 26-year-old righty has an ERA of 2.37, backed by an xERA of 2.54. He has struck out 17 batters in 19 innings, and his career 9.8 K/9 ratio in the Majors suggests more strikeouts will come. Matthews currently has a dominant 2.7% walk rate.

The Royals have the fourth-worst team OPS (.680) in baseball. Matthews has been dominant and has been controlling his mid-90s velocity. This matchup might be my favorite of the week.

Alternative: Spencer Miles (SP – TOR) vs. BAL | 2% Rostered

Sunday, June 7

Shane Baz (SP – BAL) @TOR | 23% Rostered

Shane Baz is an intriguing streamer to end the week. He has been great in his last three starts, recording quality starts in each and striking out 19 batters over 20 innings.

Is Baz settling in as an Oriole, or has he been getting a little lucky? Well, he allowed seven hits and two walks in his one-run start against the Rays on May 26th.

It is somewhat rare for a starter to allow that many baserunners and get away with just one run. Regardless, the 26-year-old has displayed great composure and really does look to be getting into a groove.

Baz should find success against the Blue Jays, who have a team OPS of only .691 in May.

Alternative: Jameson Taillon (SP – CHC) vs. SFG | 7% Rostered
