Friday’s Top MLB DFS Picks & Player Props
Friday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (5/29)
Max Meyer is the top-suggested pitcher for his GPP ceiling rather than for cash-game usage. The Marlins are slight underdogs (+105), but the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.
Meyer has a plus-matchup against the Mets, as they’re tied for 29th in wRC+ (85) with a 21.4% strikeout rate versus righties and 25th in wRC+ (93) with a 21.7% strikeout rate at home in 2026.
Meyer is having a stellar season and is locked in lately. According to FanGraphs, in his previous five starts spanning 30.2 innings, he’s logged the following stats:
- 4 wins
- 3 quality starts
- 1.76 ERA
- 3.14 xERA
- 3.09 xFIP
- 3.16 SIERA
- 0.91 WHIP
- 8.5% walk rate
- 29.7% strikeout rate
- 14% SwStr%
- 30.5% CSW%
- 98 stuff+
- 108 location+
- 108 pitching+
Meyer has a GPP-worthy ceiling. He’s an acceptable play in cash games, but saving salary by using the following two hurlers makes it appealing to spend a larger portion of the cap space on hitters on tonight’s slate.
George Kirby has pitched well this year, but it’s his success at home that’s the most appealing for DFS. In 104.2 innings at home since last season, Kirby has spun a 3.53 ERA, 3.35 xFIP, 1.12 WHIP, 6.6% walk rate and 25.4% strikeout rate.
Kirby’s matchup is soft. The Diamondbacks are tied for 22nd in wRC+ (92) with a 21.7% strikeout rate versus righties and tied for 18th in wRC+ (93) with a 23.2% strikeout rate on the road this year. The Mariners are -150 favorites, and the game’s total is seven runs.
MacKenzie Gore isn’t having a banner first season with the Rangers. Still, his 4.42 ERA is unlucky relative to his 3.79 xERA, 3.97 xFIP and 3.89 SIERA, and the lefty has a DFS-friendly 26.6% strikeout rate.
Gore’s excellence at home gets him the nod in this piece. In four home starts spanning 24 innings, Gore has two wins, three quality starts, a 2.63 ERA, 2.78 xFIP, 0.92 WHIP, 6.4% walk rate and 31.9% strikeout rate.
Gore can maintain his success at home in a plus-matchup with decent betting info. The Royals are tied for 24th in wRC+ (85) with a 20.9% strikeout rate versus lefties and 30th in wRC+ (77) with a 22.6% strikeout rate on the road this season. The Rangers are -126 favorites, and the game’s total is 7.5 runs.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
Luis Severino hasn’t fared well in his home ballpark. In 106.2 innings at home since last season, he’s been responsible for a 5.91 ERA, 4.41 xFIP and 1.52 WHIP.
The veteran righty has also struggled with lefties, surrendering a .344 wOBA to 490 left-handed batters since last season. As a result, New York’s left-handed batters are the most enticing stacking options. Aaron Judge is, obviously, also a high-upside option in Yankees stacks.
The betting info is unlikely to cause gamers to flock to stacking the Mariners. However, Zac Gallen has struggled on the road. He has a 5.52 ERA, 4.39 xFIP and 1.40 WHIP, while ceding 1.56 HR/9 in 115.2 innings on the road since last season.
Additionally, Gallen is a good matchup for lefties and an unimposing one for righties, allowing a .327 wOBA to lefties and a .315 wOBA to righties since last season.

Ben Rice (1B – NYY): 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs — Higher (0.85x Payout)
Ben Rice has rattled off 53 hits, including 16 homers, with 40 runs, 37 RBIs, a .290 batting average, .288 xBA, .383 OBP, .623 slugging rate, .555 xSLG, .427 wOBA, .403 xwOBA and 177 wRC+ in 214 plate appearances this season.
Carlos Rodon has recorded fewer than 15.5 outs in all three of his starts this year. He’s walked 11 batters (18.6% walk rate) and hit one batter in 13 innings in 2026.
Rodon’s lousy control, coupled with the hitter-friendly park factors at Sutter Health Park, will make it difficult for him to exceed 15.5 outs for the first time this season.
