Now that the Hall of Game between the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers is in the books, it’s getting real, ladies and gentlemen: the 2026-27 NFL season is upon us, and it’s time to start thinking about your fantasy football raft.
One of the most common positions to wait on, value-wise, is quarterback. While they’re the most important player on the field in real-life football, in fantasy, you can find some diamonds in the rough. For example, last season, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had an ADP of QB16, and he finished as QB2.
Here, I won’t promise we’ll find the next QB2 from this batch, but we’ll find some players that I believe will massively out-produce their preseason ADP.

Fantasy Football Sleeper Quarterbacks to Draft
Kyler Murray (QB – MIN)
According to our FantasyPros ADP data, Murray is going as the QB17 right now, and if there’s anyone who could finish close to what Maye did last year, it’s time.
Now, I don’t think QB2 is in his future, but if he finished as QB5, I wouldn’t be all too surprised.
Murray is now on a Minnesota Vikings team that has a phenomenal head coach in Kevin O’Connell and weapons headlined by wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
Last season, Murray played just five games, but he completed 68.3% of his passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions, and he also ran for 173 yards and a touchdown.
No, this wasn’t QB1 territory, but he displayed his accuracy, something he’s consistently had throughout his career.
Then, in 2024, he finished as the QB11 after throwing for 3,851 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Where he made his mark was on the ground, running 78 times for 572 yards and five touchdowns.
I think he’s in a much better situation in Minnesota, and finishing well inside the top-10 range won’t be at all surprising to me.
Malik Willis (QB – MIA)
Willis has had an intriguing NFL trajectory, from a rumored first-round pick in 2022 to falling to the third round and never getting a real chance with the Tennessee Titans, then going to the Green Bay Packers; now, Willis has a chance with the Miami Dolphins.
In his sole start last season, which came against the Baltimore Ravens, he completed 18 of 21 passes for 288 yards, one touchdown, and ran nine times for 60 yards and two more scores.
That week, which was Week 17, he finished as the QB3.
Now, of course, that was a much different situation in Green Bay. He now heads to the Dolphins with, yes, a defensive-minded head coach in Jeff Hafley, but a guy he worked alongside in Green Bay, where Hafley was the defensive coordinator.
The biggest issue for Willis is going to be a lack of pass-catching options, but his mobility will bail you out of a lot of bad weeks.
His rushing ability does have fringe QB1 upside, but I do believe that he’ll be somewhat limited by having really no great options to throw to.
Cam Ward (QB – TEN)
Finally, I’m looking to the No. 1 overall pick from the 2025 NFL Draft in Ward.
His rookie season was not great whatsoever, as he completed under 60% of his passes for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.
However, he did demonstrate some mobility, rushing for 159 yards and a couple of scores.
This season, though, it’s a completely different story, as he had two head coaches last season, with Brian Callahan getting fired early. Now, Robert Saleh is his head coach. Still, his offensive coordinator is Brian Daboll, the former head coach of the New York Giants and former offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills.
With a stable coaching staff in place, they’ve supplied Ward with more weapons, including 2026 first-round wide receiver Carnell Tate and former Giants receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, and he has a year of working with other wide receivers like Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor under his belt.
I expect a much better sophomore season from the former Miami Hurricanes signal-caller, especially if we see him scramble a bit more and score some touchdowns with his legs.
