Kyle Pitts Sr. (TE - ATL)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Kyle Pitts Sr. (TE - ATL)
We finally answered the question of what would happen to Pitts when Drake London returned. Well, sort of. It was clear that London is still not fully healthy, allowing Pitts to continue his role as the top target on this offense. In his last two games, Pitts has scored four of his 15 career touchdowns. That's incredible. This week, the Falcons have a tough task against the Rams. Although the Rams' defense has hovered around league average against the TE position, the Falcons will need to find a way to keep up with Matthew Stafford and company. As a result, if Pitts continues to operate as the top receiving weapon, he should find his way to his fifth consecutive top-seven performance at the position.
Harold Fannin Jr. (TE - CLE)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Harold Fannin Jr. (TE - CLE)
What a rookie season it has been for Fannin. From starting the season firmly behind David Njoku, the rookie has made his mark as a dynamic player on this offense. With 31 targets over his last three games and three touchdowns in his last four games, he has become one of the most productive TEs down the stretch. This week, they face the Steelers who have allowed the 10th most fantasy points to the position since Week 10. Keep riding the breakout rookie.
George Kittle (TE - SF)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on George Kittle (TE - SF)
Kittle has been phenomenal since returning from injury. Unfortunately, he is also injured right now. With his status uncertain, be sure to check the practice reports. However, if he is active, you have to play him. With 60-plus yards in six consecutive games and five touchdowns in that span, Kittle is the clear second-best TE behind McBride.
Trey McBride (TE - ARI)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Trey McBride (TE - ARI)
There's no way around it, after carrying fantasy teams all season, McBride dropped the ball in the fantasy semi-finals. Posting his worst week of the year, it was one of those moments that make fantasy football such a cruel game. However, if you managed to move on, he could single-handedly win you your championship. The Bengals have allowed by far the most fantasy points to the TE position on the season. Plus, the Cardinals' defense won't have the answers for Burrow and company. As a result, we have McBride taking on the worst defense in a game that should be the highest scoring affair of the week. That sounds like a league-winner to me.
Trevor Lawrence (QB - JAC)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Trevor Lawrence (QB - JAC)
Lawrence has finished as the QB1 and QB2 in consecutive weeks. After a huge win against the Broncos last week, this team is heating up at the right time. Not only does Lawrence have over 600 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns in his last two games, but he also has a rushing touchdown in each. With his increased usage on the ground, Lawrence is one of the best options this week in fantasy. This week, they take on the Colts, who allowed the 49ers to hang 48 points on them last Monday Night. Stay in the flames, and hope Liam Coen can continue to cook this Christmas.
Matthew Stafford (QB - LAR)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Matthew Stafford (QB - LAR)
Two weeks away from securing his first MVP award, Stafford remains one of the best storylines of the season. With Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, this passing attack has been a well-oiled machine all season. Regardless of Adams' availability for this game, Stafford should dice up the Falcons on Monday Night. Since Week 10, the Falcons have allowed the sixth most fantasy points to the QB position. Keep riding the resurgent season from one of the league's best passers.
Dak Prescott (QB - DAL)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Dak Prescott (QB - DAL)
It was tough sledding last week against the Chargers. Thankfully, the Commanders' defense may be the easiest sledding in the league. I'm not sure what the opposite of "tough sledding" is, but you get my point. The Commanders are allowing the second-most yards to opposing offenses on the season. There is a world in which the Cowboys start fast and can lean on their run game to close this game out. However, their defense is always prone to giving up points to any offense. With CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens to throw to, Prescott should return to his fantasy ways.
Drake Maye (QB - NE)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Drake Maye (QB - NE)
Setting a career high in passing yards in the Patriots' comeback win against the Ravens last week was yet another feather in Maye's sophomore cap. To make it even better, the Patriots now face the Jets in the fantasy finals. The Jets are not a good team. Over their last three games, they are averaging over 400 offensive yards against opponents (third most). The Patriots should roll through the Jets as they set their sights on clinching the AFC East.
Joe Burrow (QB - CIN)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Joe Burrow (QB - CIN)
Joe Burrow hasn't missed a beat since returning. Outside of one bad game against the Ravens, this offense has been firing on all cylinders. This week, they take on the fighting Jacoby Brissett's and their high-flying offense. This game is the perfect recipe for fantasy points. Niether defense shoul dbe able to hold up against these offenses, and all fantasy weapons could see massive days. If you manage to have Burrow in your finals, this is the perfect spot for another electric passing game.
Josh Allen (QB - BUF)
Wed, Dec 24
Player Note on Josh Allen (QB - BUF)
Just in time for the fantasy playoffs, Allen had his worst game of the season. This was a result of two main factors. The first is that their run game was having success, and they didn't need Allen to be Superman to win this game. The second is that the Bills are lacking the receiving talent to overcome top-end defenses like the Browns and Texans. Unfortunately, the Eagles' defense is also one of the better units in the league. However, the Eagles' offense will force Allen to try and will his team to a victory. Allen is also dealing with a foot injury, potentially limiting his rushing upside. You can't sit a player like Allen, but he may not be the X factor you had hoped for in your fantasy finals.
