Travis Wood and the Kansas City Royals have agreed to a 2-year deal worth $12M. (Jerry Crasnick on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Travis Wood is expected to compete for a back-end rotation spot in a somewhat weak Royals rotation. In 2016 Wood finished with a 4-0 record, 1.13 WHIP, and a 2.95 ERA in 61 innings pitched as a relief pitcher. Wood can be considered a nice sleeper pick in any draft, especially if he earns that rotation spot.
