Jose Valdez secures the save vs. Athletics

RP Jose Valdez threw a clean ninth inning, striking out one to secure the save in Sunday's Cactus League game.
Fantasy Impact:
The 26-year-old made 22 appearances in the PCL last season with 28 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings and an incredible 0.70 ERA. In eight seasons in the minors, the right-hander has exactly 100 saves. The closer position in Anaheim could be a battle all season with Huston Street's declining skills and the health issues with Cam Bedrosian and Andrew Bailey. The 27-year-old is out-of-options, so a few more displays like this and he could force the Angels' hand to give him a spot in the bullpen.
