David Dahl diagnosed with stress reaction of rib

David Dahl was diagnosed with a stress reaction of his sixth rib and will be reevaluated in two weeks. The Rockies will need to exercise caution with Dahl as a stress reaction can lead to a stress fracture if not treated properly. (Denver Post)
Fantasy Impact:
The Rockies are hopeful that Dahl will heal in time to get see some at-bats in the Cactus League but it is far from guaranteed. If not, he'll likely spend some time in Triple-A once he's healthy before returning to the Rockies. Dahl's absence opens the door for Gerardo Parra to take the starting job in left field, and offers increased opportunity for veterans Chris Denorfia and Mark Reynolds to make the Opening Day roster as options off the bench.
