Matthew Szczur drives in eventual game-winner Wednesday versus the Phillies

Matthew Szczur came up in the sixth inning as a pinch-hitter with the Cubs up 4-3 and Willson Contreras on second base with two outs. He hit a ground ball that the middle infielder corralled. Fearing he couldn't throw out Szczur to end the inning, the fielder instead chose to try to nail Contreras at home. Contreras managed to get in around the tag and that run would prove the final margin as the Cubs won 5-4.
Fantasy Impact:
He is going to struggle to provide reliable fantasy value without some injuries or a trade since he is currently behind several players most days. He will still see the occasional start or bench-hit appearance to keep him from getting rusty.
