Tony Zych placed on DL

Tony Zych was placed on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to August 20 with a right elbow flexor bundle strain. (Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times )
Fantasy Impact:
Zych has been feeling tightness in his pitching elbow for the past few weeks, and seen a drop in his fastball velocity from 95mph to 90-93mph. The Mariners gave the 27-year-old reliever some extra days of rest, but his right elbow did not respond. Zych was having a fine year recording a 6-3 record with a 2.66 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. It is not known at this time the extent of the injury. In a corresponding move, the Mariners recalled right-handed reliever Dan Altavilla from Triple-A Tacoma.
