Justin Verlander struggles with command in loss
by Michael Felner | Tigers Correspondent | Tue, Jun 26th 12:08pm EDT
Justin Verlander allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks on Monday versus the Blue Jays. He struck out six, but surrendered two home runs to Curtis Granderson. Verlander threw just 73 of 112 pitches for strikes, and was handed his third loss of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Touting a 1.82 ERA and .82 WHIP, Verlander is on pace to have one of the best campaigns of his career at age 35. There are bound to be performances where he's less than perfect, but he remains one of the elite fantasy pitchers and should be treated as such.
