To make space for newly signed P Brandon McCarthy, the Los Angeles Dodgers designated RP Brain Wilson for assignment. The Dodgers will absorb $9.5 million after Wilson exercised his player option. (Los Angeles Dodgers on Twitter)

After a stellar stretch run in 2013, Wilson was terrible in 2014. He appeared in 61 games and posted a 4.66 ERA, 1.614 WHIP, and converted 1 of 5 save opportunities.
