Nathan Karns threw live batting practice on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. (Roch Kubatko on Twitter)
Karns, who did not pitch in 2018 due to elbow inflammation, seems to be in good health in the early parts of Spring Training. Kubatko also mentions that Karns is the early camp favorite to be the Orioles’ fourth starter. Karns will have some upside if he is able to win a spot in the rotation due to his career 9.3 K/9 rate.
