Austin Hays' MRI on his left thumb revealed a mild sprain, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Hays suffered the injury sliding into a base Saturday in minor-league action. (Roch Kubatko on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The injury is not as serious as originally thought and Hays will be out weeks not months as feared. Hays had a good spring with the Orioles but the team wanted him to being the year in the minors. It will only be a matter of time before he gets a spot on the major league roster.
