Dodgers sign Chris Heisey for $2.16 million

The Los Angeles Dodgers have avoided arbitration and signed outfielder Chris Heisey for 2015 at $2.16 million. Heisey was acquired from the Cincinnati Reds for Matt Magill. (Dylan Hernandez on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This was a curious trade and signing by the Dodgers. They already have Scott Van Slyke who is the right-handed power bat off the bench. Heisey has pop but is not a high average and OBP guy. The Dodgers outfield still remains crowded even with the trade of Matt Kemp. Heisey looks to be s depth signing or insurance if super prospect Joc Pederson faulters.
