Jose Tabata is changing his swing in an effort to get more leverage on the ball. It is the hope of both the Pirates and Tabata that this change will lead to more home runs, as he has only 17 in 1,554 major league at bats. (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)
Fantasy Impact:
Although the Pirates starting outfield is set with Tabata looking in from the outside, he could very well make the team as a fourth outfielder. He could be someone worth keeping your eye on if his swing truly does create more power, especially in the case of an injury to one of the Pirates outfielders.
