Tony Gonsolin signs with Royals, placed on 15-day IL

Tony Gonsolin signed with the Kansas City Royals on Thursday and was immediately placed on the 15-day injured list. (Kansas City Royals on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Gonsolin inked a Major League contract with the Royals that also includes a club option for 2027. The right-hander underwent elbow surgery last season and has not thrown 100 innings in a season since 2023. The Royals will hope to build him back up to his 2022 All-Star form, when he went 16-1 and boasted a 2.14 ERA in 130 1/3 innings pitched.
