The Red Sox are giving Garin Cecchini an opportunity to play in spring training and he is making the most of it. Unfortunately his road to the big league club as a third baseman has been blocked with the signing of Pablo Sandoval. Boston could be showcasing Cecchini for a possible trade. Unless a trade or an injury happens, he will probably spend most of the year in the minors.
