Each week during the fantasy baseball season, I take a look at the relief pitcher landscape to aid with waiver wire and trade decisions. A wave of good health has kept the top 40 mostly intact from last week.

Fantasy Baseball Saves + Holds League Advice: Week 11
Saves + Holds Leaders
There are 13 relievers with 15+ saves plus holds:
| Player | Team | SV+H |
| Cade Smith | CLE | 21 |
| Bryan Baker | TBR | 19 |
| Riley O’Brien | STL | 18 |
| Mason Miller | SDP | 18 |
| Erik Sabrowski (IL) | CLE | 17 |
| Tyler Rogers | TOR | 16 |
| JoJo Romero | STL | 16 |
| Jhoan Duran | PHI | 16 |
| Kevin Kelly | TBR | 16 |
| Louis Varland | TOR | 16 |
| Paul Sewald | ARI | 15 |
| Brad Keller | PHI | 15 |
| Jason Adam | SDP | 15 |
Takeaways
- Cade Smith still leads the league in saves and saves plus holds, despite not picking one up in a week. He is one of only three qualified relievers with a K/9 over 10.0 and a BB/9 below 1.5. His xERA (2.32), strikeout rate (38.3%) and walk rate (4.2%) are all career bests.
- Tyler Rogers ranked second in the last week with three holds. He has one of the lowest strikeout rates among all relievers, but finds a way with the single best groundball rate in baseball (68%). Rogers’ walk rate should improve from the league-average it’s been through his first 30 innings.
- Jhoan Duran ranks fifth in the Majors with 16 saves. He’s third among relievers with a 33.3% strikeout-minus-walk rate, which is the best rate of his career by far. He’s always had electric stuff, so it’s good to see the strikeout rate finally reflecting that upside.

Biggest Risers
Josh Hader (RP – HOU) | Previous: 17; Current: 10
I’ve seen enough from Josh Hader to put him back into the top 10. In his last three innings, he’s allowed zero hits to only one walk while striking out seven.
Hader’s velocity looks normal, and his whiff rate is a career high, albeit in a tiny sample. It’s hard to draw too many conclusions with only four innings, but his track record is as good as anyone’s since he entered the league.
Daniel Lynch IV (RP – KCR) | Previous: Unranked; Current: 26
Daniel Lynch IV finally deserves some respect in my top 40. He’s been excellent all season, and the Royals have struggled for some consistency in their bullpen. He is one of only two left-handed relievers, so he’s likely to stick in a set-up role and rack up holds.
Lynch’s strikeout rate is a career high, and his walk rate is a career low. He’s definitely not a 1.93 ERA pitcher. No one is, but his 2.81 xERA or 2.55 FIP would be plenty valuable in category leagues.
Biggest Fallers
Andres Munoz (RP – SEA) | Previous: 6; Current: 9
I’m starting to lose faith in Andres Munoz. He came into 2026 with four straight seasons with a sub-3.00 ERA, but has struggled to a 5.18 ERA and 1.36 WHIP through 24.1 innings. Munoz’s strikeout and walk rates are his best of any of the previous four years, but he’s giving up much worse contact.
Munoz’s hard-hit rate has jumped to nearly 50%, and he’s giving up fewer groundballs than he ever has during his career. His xwOBAcon allowed is in the bottom 1%. With all that said, Munoz is ranked in the top 10, and he’s had 25+ saves plus holds in every season since 2022.
Ian Seymour (RP – TBR) | Previous: 35; Current: Unranked
Ian Seymour has pitched well as a reliever, but he has moved to the rotation. In his first game as an opener, he pitched four innings, giving up only a home run and a walk while striking out five.
There were talks of him potentially starting the year in the rotation, and it appears they are trying to build him up for that role. There’s a good chance Seymour’s new role could improve his overall fantasy value, but it changes his role in saves plus holds leagues.
