Masahiro Tanaka allowed five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four over four innings in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Rays in Game 3 of the ALDS.

Tanaka was hurt by the long ball in Wednesday's loss as he surrendered home runs to Kevin Kiermaier and Randy Arozarena. He threw a total of 76 pitchings, landing 46 for strikes. Tanaka has struggled during the 2020 postseason, recording a 12.38 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and seven strikeouts over eight innings. The Rays lead the Yankees 2-1 in the five-game series.
