“I’m continuing to work out and stay in shape, but I’m not currently interested in playing,” said Braun. The Brewers declined his $15 million player option during the offseason. He is mulling retirement, but is staying in touch with the Brewers. “I am enjoying my family and focused on other business interests for now but appreciate the interest I’ve received and will continue to regularly stay in touch with the Brewers,” said Braun. The 37-year-old slashed .233/.281/.488 with eight home runs, 26 RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base across 139 plate appearances for the Brewers in 2020.
