White Sox reliever Jace Fry, who underwent a microdisectomy in his back in January, likely won't be ready before May 1st, per beat writer Scott Merkin. (Scott Merkin on Twitter)
The 27-year-old lefty will open the season on the injured list as he continues his rehab. It sounds like early May is the target date for his return and that's if he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Fry put up a 3.66 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and 24:12 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings out of the Sox bullpen last season.
