Rockies right-handed reliever Scott Oberg underwent surgery to address a re-occurring blood clot issue that has caused frequent concern over the years. (Denver Post)

It's his fourth bout with the condition, which has forced him out of baseball since August 2019. Over 259 outings, the five-year veteran owns a 3.85 career ERA. He came on very strong in 2018 and 2019, posting a 2.36 ERA over 114.2 innings throughout the two campaigns. Hopefully, Oberg will have a smooth recovery and be able to return to the mound in the future.
