Jake Smolinski hammers first home run of the season

Jake Smolinski hit a two-run home run to highlight a seven run third inning for the Texas Rangers today. Smolinski took James Paxton over the left-center field fence for his first round-tripper of the season. (source)
Fantasy Impact:
It was nice to see the Rangers offense wake up today, including Smolinski's 2-for-4 afternoon. The worst hitting team in the league was able to pound out 13 hits on the day, but unfortunately, the pitching staff allowed 17 to the Mariners and blew a late five run lead.
