Randal Grichuk heads to Yankees on minor league deal

by David Leisering | Thu, Feb 26th 12:01am EST

Randal Grichuk has signed a minor league deal with the New York Yankees. The agreement includes a non-roster invitation to spring training. (Jack Curry on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Grichuk has quietly put together a solid 12-year major league career and the Yankees, if he appears in a regular season game, would be his seventh different team. Grichuk is a career .251 hitter with 1,126 hits, 268 doubles, 212 home runs, and 629 RBI in 1,360 career games. He has a career OPS of .819 against lefthanded pitching and has slashed .278/.336/.530 in 125 career plate appearances at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees were looking for another righthanded bat and Grichuk helps to fill that void. It will be interesting to see what happens between him and Jasson Dominguez for the fourth outfield spot.
