Jon Duplantier takes the loss on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Mets Correspondent | Wed, Jun 9th 1:25am EDT

RHP Jon Duplantier took a loss on Tuesday when he allowed four runs on two hits with three walks and four strikeouts as the D-Backs lost to the A's 5-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Duplantier made it through the first three innings unscathed on Tuesday, allowing just one base runner via a walk. He unraveled in the fourth, though, as he allowed four straight batters to reach. He was lifted and replaced by Alex Young who allowed all of the inherited runners to score. The 26-year-old righty now owns a brutal 10.03 ERA, 1.80 WHIP, and 12:8 K/BB ratio over 11 2/3 innings (three starts). He's slated to face the Giants in his next start but should be avoided in fantasy.
