Abraham Almonte went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a walk, in Thursday's game against the Cards.
Nobody knows if Almonte can continue at the pace he is on, slashing .300/.463/.550, but one can say this is the best he has played over his career. He's a journeyman, filling in for Marcell Ozuna, and he's making the most of this opportunity. Good for him. He's batting in the cleanup spot which presents an interesting fantasy opportunity for managers. With all of the injuries out there, somebody can use him. Nothing wrong with going with the hot hand.
