The Saint Louis Cardinals are the latest team to victimize David Buchanan, putting up 7 runs in just 4.1 innings. This extends Buchanan's early struggles which have left him with an 8.76 ERA and 1.91 WHIP through 5 starts.
Fantasy Impact:
At this point, there are virtually no redeeming qualities about David Buchanan for fantasy purposes. The closest thing to a bright spot is that the Phillies organization is shallow enough that there aren't any immediate in-house options to replace him. Fortunately, fantasy owners have the rest of the league to look to and should be doing so at this point.
