Buster Posey to reportedly announce retirement on Thursday

This is a shocker. Back in October, Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi indicated that the team planned to bring Posey back in 2022. However, it seems as if Posey has other plans in mind. The likely Hall-of-Fame candidate goes out on a tear, having hit .304 with an .889 OPS in his final campaign. The 34-year-old was the 2012 National League MVP and won three World Series with the Giants. He was the organization's No. 5 overall pick back in 2008. It's hard to imagine a career going much better than his did.
