Aaron Barrett placed on DL with biceps strain

by Rose Ingberman | Fri, Jun 12th 2:39pm EDT

The Nationals placed reliever Aaron Barrett on the 15-day DL with a right biceps strain. After throwing a ball wildly, Barrett came out of last night's game with a trainer. The Nats activated reliever David Carpenter (acquired from the Yankees). (Chelsea Janes via Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The only impact is in leagues with holds. Barrett (3-2, ERA 5.06) accumulated eight holds and one blown save, striking out 28 in 21 innings. Carpenter (0-1, ERA 4.82) was DFA by the Yankees but had success in 2013-14 with Atlanta.
