Jack Flaherty experiencing dead arm

by Andersen Pickard | Tigers Correspondent | Mon, Jun 27th 9:52am EDT

St. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol told members of the media that starting pitcher Jack Flaherty is dealing with a "dead arm sensation." He experienced tightness but no pain following Sunday's outing. (Jeff Jones on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Interestingly, although dead arm is a common symptom associated with the labrum tear that he suffered last season, Marmol says that the latest sensation isn't in the same place as his previous injury. It's been a tough couple of years for Flaherty, who has tossed just eight innings over three starts since making his 2022 debut on June 15. It seems quite likely that he'll be back on the injured list before his next scheduled start.
