Trevor Rogers cannot make it out of fifth frame Wednesday

by Nate Miller | Marlins Correspondent | Wed, Jul 6th 10:01pm EDT

Trevor Rogers logged 4 2/3 innings in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Angels, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five.

Fantasy Impact:

Rogers appeared to be headed toward a second straight solid outing, as he did not allow a run over the first four innings Wednesday night. Things changed in the fifth though, particularly with his command. The Miami lefty plunked two different batters in the inning and was chased after a Shohei Ohtani single plated the second and third runs for the Angels. Rogers is just having a rough go of it this year and really cannot be trusted for fantasy purposes. He is in line to return to the mound Monday versus the Pirates.
