Angel Zerpa posts five solid innings in win Thursday

Angel Zerpa pitched five innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two in Kansas City’s 3-1 win in Toronto on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact:
Zerpa earned the victory in his first start of the season after picking up his first career win in a relief appearance on Monday night. Zerpa is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in two appearances this season. He made one start last year and is 2-1 with a 0.75 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with six strikeouts in 12 innings in his brief career. This was a spot start with 10 Royals on the restricted list and unable to travel to Canada due to being unvaccinated for COVID-19. However, with some of the underachievers in the starting rotation, Zerpa could see more starts as the season goes on.
