Freddy Peralta drawing interest from multiple teams

by David Leisering | Brewers Correspondent | Mon, Jan 5th 12:49pm EST

Freddy Peralta has been drawing a lot of trade interest in recent days, even though the Brewers have downplayed the possibility of trading him. The latest news is that the Braves and Dodgers are the most recent teams who have checked in with the Brewers on the righthander. (Ken Rosenthal on X)

Fantasy Impact:

The Braves and Dodgers join the Yankees, Mets, and Red Sox as the teams who have reportedly talked to the Brewers about the ace. Peralta, who will turn 30 in June, is coming off of his best year last season in Milwaukee as he went 17-6 with a 2.70 ERA and 204 strikeouts in 176.2 innings. He finished fifth in the National League Cy Young voting in 2025. Over his eight-year career, Peralta has limited opponents to a .203 average and has a well-above average strikeout rate of 29.9%. Obviously, anywhere Peralta ends up, he would immediately upgrade the team's starting rotation, as he is one of the top arms in baseball.
