Trevor Bauer designated for assignment

Fantasy Impact:
The Dodgers will eat the $22.5 million Bauer is owed this year, making him a free agent. The right-hander served a historical suspension -- one that was reduced -- and is now eligible to sign with any MLB club. He last appeared in the 2021 season, posting a 2.59 ERA/4.03 FIP en route to eight wins in 17 starts for the Dodgers. The 2020 NL Cy Young winner will look to re-establish himself on a new club in 2023.
