The Boston Red Sox have signed outfielder Raimel Tapia to a minor-league deal. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
The speedy Tapia spent the 2022 season with the Toronto Blue Jays, slashing .265/.292/.380 with seven home runs and eight stolen bases across 128 appearances and 433 trips to the plate. He spent parts of six seasons with the Colorado Rockies prior to the 2022 campaign and owns a .277 lifetime average with 26 homers and 53 steals in 567 career appearances. The 28-year-old's lack of power and unsure playing time will keep him off the fantasy radar in 2023.
