Garrett Whitlock arrives early to camp

Fantasy Impact:
This isn't terribly surprising news considering Whitlock has arrived early due to a hip injury that required surgery in the offseason. He's expected to transition into a full-time starter's role in 2023 after making nine starts a season ago. He turned in a tidy 3.45 ERA across 78 1/3 innings between the rotation and bullpen last season and figures to sport significant fantasy upside if his hip isn't an issue following the offseason procedure.
