Fantasy Impact:
After a productive 2021 debut season with the Giants that saw him work to a today 3.17 ERA across 31 starts, DeSclafani made just five starts and pitched to a 6.63 ERA before an ankle injury cost him the remainder of the season. The 32-year-old has had an up-and-down career while he owns a solid 4.12 ERA across 161 career appearances, 151 of which were starts. He will compete for the fifth starter's spot in the Giants rotation with possible bullpen duties as a secondary option for the 2023 campaign.
