After a week of waiting, the Phillies have announced that Painter has a sprained UCL in his pitching elbow. The highly-touted prospect received opinions from a couple of doctors and will now rest for at least the next four weeks before beginning to throw again. Bailey Falter appears to have the inside track for the fifth spot in the Phillies' rotation due to this development regarding Painter.
