Painter has been solid at the back of the rotation since he was recalled on July 31, posting a 3.78 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 24.1 K% across six starts.

The rookie right-hander has been much improved over three starts since returning to the bigs at the end of July, posting a 2.93 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 16 strikeouts across 15 1/3 innings.
