The rookie right-hander has now been tagged for 15 runs in just 13 innings over his last three outings, running his ERA for the year up to an ugly 6.43 to go with a 1.57 WHIP. Painter is now lugging around a 5.74 ERA and 1.52 WHIP for the year.

Over those last three starts, the rookie righty has been in a nice groove, putting up a 2.60 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over 17 1/3 innings. Painter will look to keep it going next Saturday against the Dodgers.
