Painter has posted a solid 3.58 ERA and 1.15 WHIP over nine starts since being recalled from the minors back on July 31. He should be back on the mound Saturday against the Mets.

The rookie righty did at least give the Phillies three more frames, allowing only one additional run. Still, Painter fell to 3-9 through 22 appearances (20 starts) alongside a 5.71 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. Overall, he's been much better in the second half of the season, turning in a 3.77 ERA and 23.9 K% across eight starts.
